Description*:: Greenland Ice Sheet Monitoring Network
Abstract:: The GLISN virtual network aggregates data from a number of component seismic networks operating in the vicinity of Greenland, under a single network code. Data collection here began in 1992 at three stations in Nunavut operated by (CN). Since then data from stations on Greenland, operated as part of an international grouping including AWI, (DK), GEOFON, IRIS, (PL), ... ) have been added to include 23 stations operating today. A majority of these stations are on the coast, but four stations are on ice inland. Two stations are in Spitsbergen. Data from many of these stations is openly accessible in real time from the GEOFON public Seedlink server. Waveform data are available from the GEOFON data centre, under the '_GLISN' network code. GEOFON acknowledges the valued contributions of all participating agencies.
